Delete Your Account

You can delete your Highveld Chronicle account and associated personal data at any time.

In the app

• Open the Account tab.
• Tap "Delete my account" and confirm.

Your account is removed immediately.

By email

If you cannot access the app, email info@highveldchronicle.co.za from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your identity and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, profile details and sign-in credentials.
• Your saved articles and reactions.
• Your comments are removed or anonymised.

We may keep limited records where the law requires or to deal with disputes or abuse, and routine backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
