CRIME REPORT: ATTENTIVE MOTORISTS SAVED LIFE OF HIJACKED VICTIM
DELMAS – On 15 May 2018 the life of a hijacked victim was saved by two motorists who stopped near the Petro Port on the N12.
While they were stretching their legs they heard cries coming out of the bushes. Because they were scared of an ambush, they called the police.
When police arrived at the scene they searched the bushes and found the victim tied to a tree. The victim alleged that he was hijacked and robbed of this Toyota Yaris on the 11 May 2018 and left there tied to the tree for 4 days.
The victim was very dehydrated, cold and his hands were swollen from where he was tied to the trees. He was taken to the Samuel Bernice Hospital in Delmas.
Motorists are urged to be vigilant of their surroundings. It could save their lives or the life of someone else.
