AFRICA HOPE LIES WITH SENEGAL IN THE 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP
The hope of every african soccer lover rest with Senegal which recorded the first African win at the World Cup when they beat Poland thanks to a deflected Thiago Cionek own goal and a terrible error by Polish ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Senegal used early momentum and a controversial goal to upset Poland, 2-1, on Tuesday to pull into a first-place tie in Group H at the 2018 World Cup.
Senegal is the only team coached by an african coach, coach Aliou Cissé.
In an amazing World Cup moment Senegal fans cleaned up their section of the stadium before leaving after their team’s historic win over Poland to celebrate the win.
On Sunday, Senegal play Japan, who beat Colombia 2-1 earlier in the day, while Poland will face the South Americans. Their last group game they will face Colombia on Thursday the 28th. Africa is represented by five teams and two out of the five which are Egypt and Morocco are already out of the tournament.
The other two countries, Nigeria and Tunisia still have a chance even though they lost their first matches respectively.
The rest of africa is now behind Senegal who are coached by the youngest coach in the 2018 world cup who is only 42 years old.
